A Social Work Professor's Journey with Sudden Hearing Loss

In June 2016, I was diagnosed with sudden hearing loss in my right ear. As a social work professor and extrovert, one of my greatest fears was how this would affect my relationships with friends and family as well as my teaching and relationships with my students.
